OM AH HUM

In buddhism, body, speech and mind are essential objects of mindfulness and awareness. Through these “gates” a person interacts with the world around, setting in motion patterns both healthy and harmful. Acts of body, speech and mind produce karmic consequence and give shape to our lives.

In the tantric tradition, body, speech and mind are also regarded as sacred -  the basis of transformation and enlightened action. Their syllables appear in nearly every mantra, and spoken as a triad - OM AH HUM - they are thought to be effective in calling forth the precision and clarity of the awakened state.
